Can't Get Enough Of Drunk Baby?

With "Insidious:Chapter 2" opening as a hit about a week and a half ago, it should come as now surprise that Blumhouse has announced they're moving forward with a third film in the supernatural horror franchise! Insidious:Chapter 3 is now officially...a go! We were informed this afternoon. James Wan has mentioned post-Chapter 2...that he's done with the horror genre. For now, atleast. Further cementing that statement by climbing aboard the director's drivers seat for "Fast and The Furious 7". Leigh Whannell will be back for the third movie however. eOne, Film District, and Sony Pictures Worldwide...will once again be joining forces for development of the third installment in the series. And the above mentioned Whannell...will be back to pen the script. Jason Blum through his Blumhouse Productions shingle, will produce the film.

Joined in the task by Oren Peli. Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Peter Schlessel, Lia Buman and Xavier Marchand. Who will act as Executive Producers on the film. In an announcement made shortly after the films big opening weekend, where it took the top box office spot, earning a cool $41 million. FilmDistrict CEO Peter Schlessel, eOne President Xavier Marchand, and SPWA President Steven Bersch stated: "The release of the first INSIDIOUS resonated with audiences around the world and quickly became one of the most talked about films in 2011. This weekend moviegoers enjoyed the terrifying continuation of the first film and we are confident they will be excited to see the third chapter of the INSIDIOUS world. There is nobody better suited to bring audiences the next chapter of this haunting story than Leigh who has brilliantly written both INSIDIOUS and INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2."

Meanwhile, Producer and Blumhouse head Jason Blum added..."FilmDistrict, eOne and SPWA have been incredible partners on the INSIDIOUS franchise. We are all so grateful for how audiences embraced James Wan and Leigh's latest film and are excited to see what Leigh has in store for the third chapter." "Insidious:Chapter 3"...could go into production and will most likely so, in 2014. In preparation for a 2015 release. No word yet on any returnees from the previous 2 films yet, cast wise.
